In a July 2022 interview with Variety, Noah stated that it’s 100 percent clear that Will Byers is gay, adding that he loves Mike Wheeler, the character Finn Wolfhard portrays.

Wolfhard expressed his support for Noah after he came out of the closet. Speaking to GQ Magazine in February 2023, he revealed that he had a big smile on his face when he saw that Schnapp has publicly declared his sexual orientation. “I was just really proud of him”, he said.

When and How Did Noah Schnapp Come out as Gay?

The actor came out of the closet via a TikTok video posted on his account on the 5th of January 2023. In the TikTok video, he lip-synched the following words to the audio from another Tiktok video:

“When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'” The video came with a caption that reads: “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought”.

The actor shared that his friends and family have been supportive of him since he came out. He even shared a message he got from his grandfather after he announced his sexual preference to the world. The message praised him for embracing his truth and assured him of continued love and support from his family.

Who Is Noah Schnapp Dating Now?

Noah Schnapp isn’t known to be dating anyone at the moment. Since he came to the limelight, he has not been romantically linked to anyone. This is part of the reason that had people speculating that he was a closeted gay. He came out in January 2023 and hasn’t been seen with any guy since then as well.
